Potrivit unui articol din Washington Post (Fri, June 12)...
• Any Palestinian state must be demilitarized, without an air force, full-fledged army or heavy weapons.
• Palestinians may not sign treaties with powers hostile to Israel.
• A Palestinian state must allow Israeli civilian and military aircraft unfettered access to Palestinian airspace, allow Israel to retain control of the airwaves and to station Israeli troops on a future state's eastern and southern borders.
• Palestinians must accept Israel as a Jewish state, a nod to the hawkish side of Mr. Netanyahu's governing coalition that has raised concerns that the Palestinian Authority, which nominally governs the West Bank, does not recognize Israel as a Jewish state.
Deasemeni, Netanyahu va exprima cu tarie si fara nici un echivoc, aspectele care NU sint negociabile sub nici o forma, si anume:
• Israel will reject a return of Palestinian refugees and their offspring to Israel (rejectie afirmata inca din 1999, pe vremea lui Ehud Barak).
• Jerusalem will remain an "undivided Jerusalem", which even Obama supports, as he said last year.
Sa asteptam ziua de miine si sa vedem daca ... prezicerile se adeveresc.
Read More...Citeva ARGUMENTE legate de conditiile mai "spinoase" :
considering the text of the 1948 UN Resolution 194, which says:
"Resolves that the refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbours should be permitted to do so at the earliest practicable date."
First, "their homes" are no longer there, for the most part, to which some of them have their parents, or grandparents "keys."
Second, it says "should," not "must," which indicates Israel can have some discretion over it.
Third, it says "practicable." Again, most of the Palestinian Arabs are gone from the area as are the old villages and home, or they are owned by new owners, which makes it unpracticable."
And over the years, thru the action of their leadership under the PLO, and Hamas, the collective Palestinian leadership has not shown a desire to "live in peace" in Israel, also demonstrated by the PA's inability to stop the terror.
Also, why would we make a Palestinian state, from land Israel won in a defensive war, so they can return to ISRAEL instead of the new Palestine?
Any Israeli leader would ask these questions, and flatly reject the so-called "right of return."
Also, where are the Jews asking Arab countries for THEIR "right of return?"
